There's more to us than awesome food and dazzling smiles. At T.G.I. Friday’s, there's a reason behind everything you see and experience. And, each one of them reminds us of good times. Here are just a few:
Friday is, without a doubt, the best day of the week. That’s as true in New York as it is in Tokyo and everywhere in between. It’s the start of the weekend and who would want to wait for that. That’s why we start the celebration at midnight on Thursday. And, as far as we can remember, no one has ever complained.
At Friday’s, every meal comes with a generous side order of entertainment. Inspired by Barnum and Bailey Circus, the red and white stripes remind us that we’re there to make sure that our guests have fun. We can’t really bring in the elephants, but, we do make every visit to Friday’s memorable.
Most people look better when they’re smiling, which could explain why T.G.I. Friday’s regulars are so attractive. We’ll do all we can to put you at ease and give you a good time. We’ll keep things going smooth, even if we’re paddling like mad behind the scenes.
Leave your worries at the door. That’s always been the T.G.I. Friday’s philosophy. If you want to meet people, celebrate life and have a good time, then our place is the place for you.
In every Friday’s you’ll find five items that reflect our values: a giant Mars Bar for enjoyment, an Abe Lincoln plaque for integrity, a Circus Elephant for balance, a huge pair of spectacles for recognition and a silver trophy for excellence.
The best, bar none; that’s what the press say about our people. See for yourself by asking your server what the pins on their braces mean. You’ll find there’s an interesting story to every one of our team members at T.G.I. Friday’s.
Enter any Friday’s and you’ll find the same relaxed atmosphere. We don’t do stuffy. We do fun. So, stop in and kick back. You’ll always get that Friday feeling no matter what day the calendar says it is.
When Alan Stillman founded T.G.I. Friday’s in 1965, he figured the bar scene in a city full of skyscrapers needed a shake up. So, he created a cool new singles bar. One week later, the New York police were called in to control the crowds as hordes of young people flocked to the city’s newest hot spot.
You’ll find an airplane propeller over every bar in every T.G.I. Friday’s. It reminds us that the bar is the engine that drives our business. That’s why there’s always such energy about the place. Plus, it looks pretty cool.
Vodka, gin, rum, sweet & sour, and triple sec. Top it with Coke. Spin it. Pour it. That’s the Long Island Ice Tea. We invented it. Everyone enjoys it.
There’s also a rowing scull in every T.G.I. Friday’s. The scull is all about pulling power and teamwork. You can’t win if you don’t row together. It’s a constant reminder that when we all pull together, we’re more likely to win.
Good times are contagious. And, if we’re having a good time, we know that you will too. That’s why we encourage our people to be themselves and let their real personalities shine through. A happy face here is never just for show. A brilliant atmosphere is something you just can’t fake.
After 45 years of success, there are more than 931 T.G.I. Friday’s worldwide. And, since everyday is Friday at T.G.I. Friday’s that’s 6,517 Fridays every single week. So, you’ll always be able to find a Friday, no matter where you are. Or when it is.
In 1974 the polyester lounge suit became popular. Thank goodness that it’s also the same year we invented our Loaded Potato Skins. Otherwise, the entire year would have been a waste. The skins had a lot more staying power than the lounge suits, and they are still our most popular appetizers.
