The World Bartender Championship is all about our great bar heritage. It’s a competition at all Friday’s across the globe where bartenders compete to become the best bartender in the world.
The fun begins right away and the party builds with each level of competition, and it’s all about entertainment. Bartenders flip and toss bottles with style and flair, all while making killer drinks. It could very well be the perfect competitive event.
The World Bartender Championship is a competition, and there’s a great deal of pride, prestige, and prosperity at stake. Our bartenders are required to always act like the professionals they are and follow the rules and guidelines to ensure consistency and fairness for all of the competitors.
On March 28, 2010, T.G.I. Friday’s in the UK set a new Guinness World record of simultaneous bar flair. In this amazing feat, over 100 world-class professional bartenders from Friday’s restaurants across the UK took part. They set the record with a skillful routine of 101 people flairing in sync, without dropping a bottle, for over two minutes in London’s Covent Garden.
